Our good friends at Mixcloud have just announced the RadiOlympics – the first ever Olympic Games for DJs, radio stations and music fans of all nations! Whether you are a DJ or listener, get involved in the games, win cups and score points for your country in the race to find the best Radio Nation in the world. The winning nation will win the love, admiration and envy of the global DJ, radio station and listener community.
As part of the RadiOlympics, we’ve teamed up with Mixcloud for the Funky Runner competition. Since James Brown‘s Funky Drummer is one of the most sampled tracks in the history of music (as shown in our recent infographic), we’re looking for the very best mixes of funk and soul tracks. As the Godfather said, a Funky Runner always “Gets on the Good Foot!”
The winning mix will be featured on WhoSampled, and the 3 best mixes will win cups and points in the race to the Best Radio Nation in the World.
