For their next project, Dewar’s are bringing together a selection of innovative and challenging artists to create an eclectic album entitled ‘The Dewarist Sessions, part 1’. The chosen artists include Indian folk rocker The Raghu Dixit Project, Mercury Prize nominee King Creosote and Sheffield-based duo Slow Club. Tasked to produce a collaborative album with a distinctive collective voice, they will be in the recording studio during the week of TEDGlobal 2012, of which Dewar’s is a partner.
It’s an impressive assignment, to create a collaborative work with accomplished artists from different musical worlds over the course of four days. For added inspiration, the artists will watch the TEDTalks as they are streamed live into the recording studio from the conference centre. Wrapping up their collaboration with a performance at the exclusive after party held at The Caves, TEDGlobal attendees will get the chance to experience the sounds of King Creosote, Slow Club and The Raghu Dixit Project in an intimate music venue in the old part of Edinburgh.
Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes footage of the event, and exclusive clips of the artists creating ‘The Dewarist Sessions, part 1’ coming soon. Keep up-to-date with all news at www.facebook.com/dewars.
